I abs love this place. I usually get macaroni pie, oxtail and rice and peas. I've tried the fried fish which wasn't bad at all. This place make sure you order ahead and give yourself some time to pick up the food it does take awhile. I haven't ate inside, always ordered it to go. However the new location has enough seating space so I'll be back and eat while there for sure. Prices are reasonable and staff was always friendly with me.
I came here this past summer and loved the food actually adored it. Cool spot located not too far from the Staten Island ferry. They really did there thing with the food and service...the owner I believe or manager gave me a small sampler platter to try all the favorites. We fell in love with everything. One of the workers helped me so much she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Because of the good deeds when I graduated from my parenting journey class, I highly referred the restaurant & the facilitator picked them to cater the event. I highly suggest all of these so yummy Stewed Chicken Curry Chicken 3 Pieces Fish and Chips Jerk Chicken Oxtails Green beans Salad Mac n Cheese The kool aid was kool aidin' Thank you for the experience can't wait to pop back in again
Everytime I get food from here they never disappoint. The food is so freaking good. And I always eat all my food, no crumbs left. The customer service is pretty good. I know they are always busy because everytime I call I get put on hold and they never come back to the phone. Now the ambiance is really nice, very clean and neat. You can sit at the countertop/bar and have a drink while waiting for your food or you can sit eat and drink. I highly recommend this place to everyone in the world
Moved to New location, always striving forward. I love, love love the Oxtails, White rice, Yams, Mac and Cheese. The Barbecue Shrimp is amazing. The Kool-aid's will make you Diabetic (As they Should). The staff is AWESOME, PLEASE REMEMBER TO TIP!....
I've ordered here a few times now with friends and all I can say is that this place doesn't miss and is one of the few gems on Staten Island. I usually get it delivered, at this point I have tried everything on menu and have complaints about nothing, well the only small issue for me is that the jerk chicken pieces are massive!! Lol The portions can probably be divided into two meals and they're flavorful, the sides are great too. I've never been to the actual location but when I do I can edit review based on experience. But for now keep being great! 4.5 stars
My BIL loves on the Island and was so excited to bring us to this spot, and I totally understand why. First impression of the place is bright, airy, and clean. Service was extremely giving and friendly. Malik was so gracious to give us a sample of everything to help us first timers decide what to get. I will tell you that was hard, because everything was DELICIOUS.. from the oxtail, meatloaf, mac and cheese, yams, cabbage... my goodness. We decided on the fish and shrimp combo plate with mac and cheese and yams. The whiting and shrimp were perfectly seasoned.. the mac and cheese and yams were top of the line good. While you wait, you can get a drink from their fully stocked bar. I live in Jersey, but will definitely return!
